Members of Punsters United Nearly Yearly (P.U.N.Y.) will have a pre-Pun-Off reception and dinner with Punster of the Year (P.O.T.Y.) roast on the evening of Friday, May 9 in the O. Henry and Dickinson Museum courtyard. The reception is from 5 to 7 with drinks and light refreshments provided by the Friends of the O. Henry and Dickinson Museum followed by a dinner meal at 7 pm. An advance reservation is required for seating at dinner, but payment can be made with cash or check (no credit cards) at the event. The ticket price will be announced soon.
You need not be Pun-Off contestant to attend. The reception is free. Come linger, loiter and lurk in the shadows of our smiles. All friends and family are encouraged to attend.
If you’ve attended one of our PUNY dinners before, you know about the word games, ribald roasts, and practice punning and how very entertaining it can be. Besides great Italian food, we will be roasting our 2014 Punster of the Year (the P.O.T.Y. Award) This is always an un-fork edible experience so come prepared to take a jab at our honoree to see that he’s properly done.
Advance Meal Reservations Required
We are working out the details for a catered dinner from an excellent source. Our menu is sure to loosen your appe-tight.
The meal price represents a great deal, but if you’re feeling generous we will have a donation basket available. Alcoholic drinks will be available and you may bring your own beverages.
Seating is limited to 60 persons so you must make your meal reservations by May 15th midnight or we can not guarantee food for you. If you’re not eating dinner you can still come linger, loiter and lurk in the shadows of our smiles.
