Official Results – Gonged with the win!
The May 2015 38th Annual O.Henry Pun-Off World Championships is now history! Multi-medalist Benjamin Ziek of Glendale, California once again clawed his way to the top of the heap with another rare “two-fer” triumph in Puniest of Show and PunSlingers.
Rare for others maybe, but not for Ben, as this is his third repeat of double-win trophies, an unprecedented feat never before accomplished by any puntestant. After having blown it last year, the win shifted back in his direction in 2015 and with great gusto, he fought to the twister end. Debris was the only thing laughed on stage as the final gong sounded and his win swept the field.
In Punniest of Show, the panel of six expert judges awarded Ziek a perfect score of 40 out of a possible 40 points for his punning recollection of whiskey behavior and an alcoholic encounter that went horribly a-rye. Watch it on YouTube.
Due to circumstances beyond the pale, the 38th Annual O.Henry Pun-Off World Championships will be once again held in Austin, Texas on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Brush Square behind the O. Henry and Susanna Dickinson Museums at 409 E. 5th Street. Continue reading

FOR IMMEDIATE RELIEF:
After months of exhaustive searching and researching, the “Bored of Governors” of the International Save The Pun Foundation (ISTPF) has finally separated the suite from the gaff and is ready to reveal their annual compilation of The 10 Best-Stressed Puns of 2014 (See list below).
Since 1978 when J. S. Crosbie founded the ISTPF in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, it has been a word-leader in the presentation and perpetration of worthy wordplay. Today this tradition is carried on threw out the cyber-sphere by members of P.U.N.Y. (Punsters United Nearly Yearly,) a closely affiliated support group spawned by the perspicacious punslingers of the O.Henry Pun-Off World Championships in Austin, Texas.
You can find more information on both groups on Facebook or follow #PunOff 2015, @leerlessfeeder, or @PUNY2015 on Twitter.
